Please read carefully


Upon your booking we will send you a Dog Walking contract which will include the following terms and conditions

1. Relationship and Responsibilities

1.1. It is expressly understood that the Owner retains the services of the Walkers as  private contractors, affiliated with the company Salty Paws La Paz. The Walker shall be responsible for his/her insurance and all statutory declarations and payments with regard to income tax and VAT where applicable.

1.2. The Walkers undertakes to perform the agreed-on services in an attentive, reliable and caring manner and the client undertakes to provide all necessary information to assist in this performance.

1.3. The Walker undertakes to notify the client of any occurrence pertaining to the dog which may be relevant to the care and well-being of the dog.

1.4. The Walker will supply and be equipped with a scooper and waste bags and will duly remove the dog's faeces from all public places.

1.5. Salty Paws La Paz offers the shared walking service where dogs co-mingle in groups and the Owner accepts that during the course of normal dog play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision. If the Owner is purchasing the service; shared walking service the Walker reserves the right to walk other compatible dogs at the same time.

1.6. The client will provide suitable harnesses, collars and leads as approved by Salty Paws La Paz as well as coats or muzzles if required.

1.7. The Walkers shall not be obliged to perform any other duties except those specified on the client´s Information sheet and Pet Information sheet.


1.8 The Client agrees that, in admitting their dog, Salty Paws La Paz has relied on the Client’s representation that their dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behavior toward any person or any other dog.

1.9 . All dogs will be subject to an initial assessment by Salty Paws La Paz staff prior to using Salty Paws La Paz Services. Salty Paws La Paz reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog deemed in their absolute discretion to be, or have the potential to be, dangerous or disruptive.

1.10 The client agrees to notify Salty Paws La Paz immediately of any unwelcome, aggressive, procreative, or dangerous behavior of their dog that has potential to cause harm to any other dog or individual

1.11 . The Client agrees to ensure their dog has not eaten in the hour before pick up by Salty Paws La Paz  to ensure sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play. Failure to do so may result in the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).

1.12 Salty Paws La Paz will only let dogs off the lead once an ‘off the lead consent form’ has been signed, and will remain at the discretion of Salty Paws staff.

1.13 The Client agrees to provide keys/arrange access to the dog for the agreed appointment; failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that day’s service and will be paid in full by the client.

1.14 The Client agrees that, by signing the key holder waiver form this will indemnify Salty Paws La Paz  in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in present and future circumstances.


2. Compensation

2.1. Salty Paws shall be paid the following amounts, depending on the chosen services.

  • Shared walking services; $ 100 Mexican Pesos per dog per walk of 60 minutes

  • Private walking services 1 dog: $ 300 Mexican Pesos per walk of 60 minutes)

  • Private walking services 2 or more dogs: $500 Mexican Pesos per walk of 60 minutes

  • Private training lesson services: $ 350 Mexican Pesos per dog and hour

2.2. The payment shall be done in cash, each time right before or after the completion of the service.

2.3 If desired the Owner has the option to make a monthly transfer in advance on the company’s banc account.

3. Photographs

The Client consents to their dog being photographed, videotaped, and/or used in any media or advertising by Muddy Paws Dog Services without prior approval. All such media remain the property of Muddy Paws Dog Services.

4. Cancellation or Early Termination

4.1. Either party may terminate this Dog Walking Contract a minimum of 24 (twenty four) hours prior to the first scheduled visit without incurring penalties or damages.

4.2. Cancellation by the Client of scheduled walks with less than 24 hrs notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of the Salty Paws La Paz.

4.3. Where the Walker as sole proprietor needs to cancel a scheduled walk due to unforeseen circumstances, Salty paws may appoint a other Walker to complete the service. Salty Paws La Paz keeps the right to cancel the service, if necessary.

4.4. Should any dog become aggressive or dangerous, the Salty Paws La Paz may terminate their dog walking contract with immediate effect.

4.5 Salty Paws reserves the right to refuse admission if the Client fails to provide adequate proof of vaccinations (including Bordetella, rabies), or the vaccinations are found to be expired or otherwise incomplete.

4.6 Bitches may not attend Salty Paws shared walking services while in season or pregnant. Salty Paws reserves the right to refuse admission or charge an extra fee for private walking services if these criteria are not met.

4.7 The client accepts that even though their dog is vaccinated against Bordetella (Kennel Cough), ?there is a chance that their dog can still contract Kennel Cough. The Client agrees that they will not hold Salty Paws La Paz responsible if their dog contracts Kennel Cough while attending.

4.8 The Owner agrees to take any necessary measures or precautions to ensure that their dog is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The Owner further agrees to notify Salty Paws immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions their dog has been exposed to or is affected by. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Corona virus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, ticks, Pregnancy, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites. Salty Paws La Paz reserves the right to refuse admission until satisfied that the condition is resolved.

4.9. Any wrongful or misleading information in the Owner's Information or Pet Information sheets may constitute a breach of terms of this Dog Walking Contract and be grounds for instant termination thereof.

4.10. Termination under the circumstances described in 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.8 and 4.9 above shall not entitle the Owner to any refunds nor relief of any outstanding payments due.

5. Liability

5.1.  The client is solely responsible for any and all harm or damage caused by their dog while it is under the care the walker, or is using any other services provided by Salty Paws, and agrees to indemnify Salty Paws in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties.

5.2. Salty Paws La Paz accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Clients property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

5.3. Salty Paws shall not be liable for any mishap of whatsoever nature which may befall a dog or caused by a dog who has unsupervised access to the outdoors.

5.4. The client shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Walker caused by the dog as well as damage to the Client's property.

5.5. The Walker is released from all liability related to transporting dog(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the dog(s) and the expense thereof.

5.6 The Client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of Salty Paws; together with any associated costs e.g. call-out charges. The Client authorizes the staff of Salty Paws to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary; where possible this will be carried out by the Client’s usual/preferred Vet, but this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency) and the Client accepts that the staff of Muddy Paws Dog Services may at their discretion use any registered Vet. The Client agrees to pay all such costs immediately upon pick-up of their dog, or by agreement with the proprietor.

5.7 The Client agrees that Salty Paws is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leads, collars, tags, clothing or any other item left with their dog.

6. Indemnification

The parties agree to indemnify and hold harmless each other as well as respective employees, successors and assigns from any and all claims arising from either party's willful or negligent conduct.

7. Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, the Walker shall contact the Owner at the numbers provided to confirm the Owner's choice of action. If the Owner cannot be reached timeously, the Walker is authorized to:

7.1. Transport the dog(s) to the listed veterinarian or, if out of reach, any other veterinarian as described in paragraph 5.7

7.2. Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian;

7.3. Transport the dog(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible.

8. Security

The Walker warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of the Owner and to return same to the Owner at the end of the contract period or immediately upon demand.

9. Relaxation of Terms

No relaxation, indulgence, waiver or release by any party of any of the rights in terms of this agreement on one occasion shall prevent the subsequent enforcement of such rights and shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any subsequent breach of any of the terms.

10. Whole Agreement

The Dog Walking Contract and Owner's Information sheet, Pet Information sheet(s), the Veterinary Release Form , Terms and Conditions, Key Waiver form and the off Lead Waiver form attached must be signed before the beginning of the services and  constitute the sole and entire agreement between the parties with regard to the subject matter hereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained therein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.

11. Assignment

No party may assign any of its rights or delegate or assign any of its obligations in terms of this Dog Walking Contract without the prior written consent of the other party, except where otherwise stated.

12. Binding Effect

The terms of this Contract shall be binding upon and accrue to the benefit and be enforceable by either party's successors, legal representatives and assigns.

13. Governing Law

This Contract and Agreement shall be construed, interpreted and governed in accordance with the laws of the State of Baja California Sur and should any provision of this Contract be judged by an appropriate court as invalid, it shall not affect any of the remaining provisions whatsoever.

14. General

Whenever referred to Salty Paws La Paz , this includes Salty Paws La Paz´Staff and private contractors “Walkers”  acting as executers of Salty Paws services.

The parties agree that any or all parts of this agreement may be submitted to the other party in legible and recordable electronic form and upon acknowledgement of receipt by the receiving party shall become valid parts of the agreement.

Paragraph headings are for convenience of reference only and are not intended to have any effect in the interpretation or determining of rights or obligations under this agreement.

Where appropriate words signifying one gender shall include the other and words signifying the singular shall include the plural and vice versa.

No variation of these Terms and Conditions will have effect unless confirmed by Salty Paws La Paz in writing.
